Samples

Samples comes in two types: Samples from you, and Samples from us or the manufacturer You must understand the importance of samples.

Samples from you

Often you need to give us samples to help us understand what it is you want to buy or have manufactured. As giving only oral or written info only tells half the story compared to a sample which you can feel, see and examine to get it right, it is often the best way to getting it right. If you are new to the business you may also not know the right words when placing an order for material specifications etc. Indian factories also function better from samples than only written info. Samples could be an exact copy of what you want, but samples could also be similar products – then you need to explain the difference between the sample and what exactly you want. Then there are other types of samples such as samples for only showing the material and/or colour or a detail in the product or Important regarding samples from you: If not agreed differently in advance and in writing all your samples comes with the following conditions: We pay nothing for samples You pay the transport to us We never give the sample back – as we typically take samples swatches or so from the same, or make tests on it, or … The cost of your samples and the transport of them never is included in the price we quote you - you stand 100% of this cost. The type of samples you may send us C0-samples: Not as your final product but could show the material or a detail or other features that make us understand your information on the product better. C1-samples: Almost but not 100% as the product you want. You will have to explain in what way it differs. Perhaps it should have another colour, or other size, or other material, or we have to add your labels, etc. C2-samples: Exact sample of what you want to have.

Samples from us or the manufacturer

We many times send samples so you can confirm that we have got it right. Or for the purpose of giving you a chance to comment and explain better to us. In some cases only by photo. The terms for our samples include,  if not agreed differently in writing in advance One set of samples, typically G2-samples, is included – but if we need to send more samples after your “corrections” you pay extra for them. Especially if you tell us to change something because the info was not there from your side in the first place and then also you pay for everything extra. You pay in such a case both for producing the sample and sending it to you. We cannot make G2-samples if you have not placed the order in advance and made the down payment, or else if you have not made a payment for the minimum of material, extra tools, design work etc. that needs to be made. The same, depending of product type and its design, is valid in some cases for G1- samples as well. Special terms for samples when we purchase products for you (instead of manufacture them). Then often samples are not sent but you can get the info via Internet. The type of samples we make or also may send to you G00-samples: Samples of what the factory has produced earlier but has nothing to do with your product as such. G0-samples: Let say you want to make a dress and then the factory make the pattern and stich a sample but not yet have the final fabric so this sample will be in another material and typically also without accessories, labels, etc. G1-samples: Almost right but perhaps some details are missing or so as all  material and accessories have not been purchased yet etc. G2-samples, also known as PP-samples: As you want the product. For final approval.
